AN EVENING IN TOWN

meeting upcoming designers os one of my favorite parts of blogging. i am so happy to be in the position to meet these people
myself, ask them about their history and vision. last week french designer adeline germain (btw HOW cool is that name?) invited a few of us to a comfy evening at fabio’s in vienna. not only is adeline a stunning, gorgeous woman, she also lives her job to the fullest. speaking to her the motivation of why she does what she does gets contagious! not only did i fall in love with her cheerful spirit, but also with this bag. it’s like everything i want in a bag put into one design. even though i am no the biggest fan of python leather, adeline makes sure to also use more sustainable leathers such as fish leather, that derives from food waste (like salmon).

A NIGHT WITH HUGO BOSS

Vicky – partner in crime for the night!
Last week Hugo Boss invited to a truely magical 20ies night in Vienna. Serving drinks first at their brand new 3 storied flagship store in vienna we already loved that as opposed to many other events in vienna, the place wasn’t super packed.

After a few glasses of champaign, vicky, felipe and i were escorted in the most amazing oldtimers to albertina passage were the big party took place. our car was from 1937, could we have been any more pimpin?? yes we could have, because what expected us at albertina passage was even more crazy: dancers performing charleston, a members area with black jack and live music. the roaring 20ies in the middle of vienna – totes amazzzze.

LITTLE BLACK DRESS X DARIADARIA

Photos by Kris Atomic

while in london with the apartment, i was invited to take part in a photoshoot for little black dress, a website that seels gorgeous dresses staring from evening gowns to simple day dresses.
it was definitely a whole lot of fun but also weird as normally only andrea, my boyfriend, or vicky take pictures of me for the blog. as you know me i never wear evening gowns so also the look was a whole new experience (btw the shoes are from russell & bromley). i still had so much fun, thanks LBD for the amazing experience and thanks to chris simpson with laura mercier and sassoon salons for making me look so beautiful!

MIU MIU FW 2013

the sad thing about fashion events in vienna (and probably in many other places too) is that 90% of the people there are going to drink champaign, eat food and show off their fur coats. same in vienna a few days ago, when i went to see miuccia prada’s latest (well not so much latest) strike. people didn’t really seem interested in the pieces around them, which is sad for them, because this collection is REALLY worth looking at.

a collection fully set in nostalgia: sailor coats, dotted handkerchiefs and striped stockings – many items that we have seen in the first half of the 1900’s. there’s some comic like keys and a hint of pop art. a collection that once again states that miumiu is unlike many traditional brands such as burberry or louis vuitton, that never go far off their classic line, but has the courage to develop collections with twisted concepts that as confusing as they seem at first, work in the whole scheme.
